As of October 2026. Information on Nextcloud Hub and Slack is based on publicly available information about their standard feature set; actual features may vary by version, edition, plan, hosting provider, and installed apps. Nextcloud is a trademark of Nextcloud GmbH; Slack is a trademark of Slack Technologies, LLC.
nest54 replaces several standalone tools and is built for projects with external participants. These are the differences that matter most in practice.
As with Nextcloud, your files stay in Germany – but without your own server, without a collection of apps, and with collaboration across company boundaries at its core.
For teams that want office, chat and video without a US provider – while keeping Outlook: nest54 connects to Microsoft 365 instead of banning it.
Chat with topics and threads like Slack – plus files, tasks, calendars and video meetings in the same workspace, without additional tools.
nest54 covers file storage, office, chat, video, calendars, and tasks in a single product, with a focus on projects that span multiple organizations. It's especially well suited to teams that want these tools in one place, hosted in Germany.
In a personal demo, we'll show you how your team and your partners can work together in nest54—and we'll be happy to set up a trial workspace for you.
